GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE POLICIES:
HOW OFTEN DOES OUR COMPANY COME OUT?
Most of our customers prefer service once a week. Other service schedules are available; If you would like to receive information about service more or less often then once a week; please contact Minesweepers at (516) 697-7219
DO WE WORK THROUGH THE WINTER?
Yes. Dogs keep making their messes all year long, and Minesweepers continues to clean up and remove dog waste throughout the winter. Some customers prefer to put service on hold for the cold months, although there may be an extra service charge for the first cleanup the following spring.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT SNOWS OR RAINS?
Minesweepers will work in most weather, but snow can stop us. If there is more than about 1 inch of snow, we will postpone that day's service until next day or two. If the snow is deep or does not melt right away we may be forced to wait a few days untill resuming service. Please be patient, we will make it to your yard at least once every week during even the worst weather to prevent exccessive accumulation of waste.
WHAT ABOUT HOLIDAYS?
We do not work the following days:
New Years Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
When a holiday falls on your regular service day. We will usually come the day before the holiday and service should return to your normal day within 2 weeks.
SHOULD I UNLOCK MY GATE?
Yes. Since employees are not to climb or jump over fences, please have your gate unlocked on your service day. Unfortunatley, We do have to charge for missed service calls due to a locked gate. (The first time is on us). If you like you can give us the combination to your lock or we can lend you one of ours for the duration of your service at no cost to you. No keys please, they are to confusing to try to remember which one goes where.
CAN WE WORK WITH YOUR DOG IN THE YARD?
If they don't mind, then neither do we. We get along well with dogs; however, there are some cases when a dog will not let us into the yard. If you know that your dog is not good with strangers, or it becomes apparent that your dog will not allow us to clean the yard, then we ask that you restrain or confine the dog.
We don't want to take unnecessary risks with your dog or our employees.
WHAT IF I WANT TO SKIP A SERVICE DAY?
You will not be charged if you call the company office in time for us to tell the service worker to skip your yard that day. If the dog will be gone from the yard for a couple of weeks, or for some other reason you want us to skip your yard for a day or more, we can hold service and you will not be charged .(extended periods of time may require an extra fee)
HOWEVER, if your gate is locked or the dog will not allow us to clean the yard when we come to do our work, it may be necessary to charge for the service call that could not be completed. If, for instance, you get to work and remember that the gate is locked, call us early to tell us to skip that day so that you won't be charged.
HOW DO I PAY?
Minesweepers will send invoices by either e-mail or regular mail. Accounts can also be accessed thru our website and paid by credit card online. Minesweepers can also set your credit card up for automatic deduction. Payments are DUE UPON RECIEPT. Payments not recieved by the 15th of the month will be billed a 10.00 finance charge. Any accounts not paid by the first service day of the following month will be suspended until payment is made. Additionally suspended accounts that have a lapse in service of more than one week will be subject to a first time clean-up as explained below due to an excessive accumulation of waste. Only cash or credit cards will be accepted in these situations.
IS THERE AN EXTRA CHARGE FOR THE FIRST TIME?
With your prior approval, there may be an extra charge for first service if there has been a lot of accumulation of waste over time. Pricing is as follows $25.00 Minimum service fee. Plus five dollars for every bag of waste collected. Removal is included. Clean-ups are done mostly on weekends and payment is due upon completion. Average cleanups range between $30.00-$85.00 depending on when the yard was last cleaned and how many dogs have been using it. These prices are based a 1-2 month time frame with 1-2 dogs using the property.(prices may be higher for multiple dogs over extended periods of time)
DO WE HAVE A CUSTOMER REFERRAL PROGRAM?
Yes, when you refer a new customer to us you will get one regular service day free. All the new client has to do is mention your name when they sign up for service and Minesweepers will credit your account. (Not for one-time jobs)
